Teaching is not just a profession, it is a passion; and it is this passion that creates other professions. A good education is one of the first few pages to writing a child’s future, which is why I entered the childcare industry and started Learning Kidz back in 2002. I wanted to do something meaningful. I wanted to make an impact and touch the lives and hearts of many kids, as well as build up the early childhood education quality in Singapore.
When a young child enters our care, we nurture them. We shower them with love and care, and we teach them their ABCs and 123s. We hold their hands and guide them on their journey to self-discovery, and we introduce them to the different parts of life. By the time it is their turn to graduate, we hope that we have been able to shape them as lifelong learners as well as fundamentally as humans during their time in Learning Kidz. We hope that we have imparted our knowledge, some good value systems, and have overall laid a good foundation for them to succeed in life. We inspire them and they inspire us.
Every student has the ability to learn; just not the same day or in the same way. I believe that the influence of a good teacher can never be erased. Thus, something I look for in all of our educators is the genuine love and passion for children and teaching, a caring heart, an encouraging attitude, and a willing hand that our children can hold.
Coming into this industry and seeing thousands of students walk through Learning Kidz’s doors and come out to be more confident, well-rounded, and talented individuals over the years, have been one of the most rewarding aspects of what I do.

Dr Seuss once said: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go". I believe that learning is a lifelong journey and I am excited to be a part of the beginning of all our children's road to find their love for learning.

Being a preschool educator and leader I’m not in it for income, I’m in it for the outcome. I believe that every child has the potential to grow and shine. There is always so much to learn from them. Watching them learn and achieve is one of the most heartwarming benefits of being a preschool educator.
